I am blogging from my phone which never happens, although lately not much blogging has been happening at all. I don't enjoy the little screen, and since I keep most of my pictures on the computer, it is just way easier to only blog from there. So why am I doing it from my phone even though I hate it? Well we had family pictures taken last week and I got the pictures yesterday and I am dying to share them. Unfortunately I have been neglecting my blog for the past few months, so I told myself I had to catch up before I could post my beautiful family pictures.
So last night I busted out a bunch of posts while I folded laundry, paid bills, watched a show, and listened to an audio book once my show ended. Good thing there is lots of wait time when loading pictures, or I wouldn't have gotten anything else done.
Anyway these particular pictures were on my phone, and a smarter person than me might be able to access them on the computer, but I couldn't find them out in cyber space last night, even though I am pretty sure I have done it before. But it is just as well because now that my babes are awake it is actually easier to sneak a few minutes with my phone than it would be to turn the computer on. Although at the rate I am going it will take me all day to finish this post.
Now that you know way more than you want to about my life, I will tell you about the pictures.
For Mother's day Megan and I planned a little getaway with just the two of us.
JUST THE TWO OF US!!!!
No children!!!
We decided to go to the"When Life Gets Hard" conference in Salt Lake. So one week after Mother's day, which I spent taking care of sick and teething children, we were more than ready to head out.
We talked about everything under the sun in the car, and then we shopped till we dropped, had a nice dinner together, and then took a swim at the hotel. The next day we headed to the conference which featured John Bytheway, Hank Smith, and Meg Johnson. Before the conference started Hank Smith mentioned that everyone comes to the conference because of John Bytheway, but they leave talking about Meg. While I didn't go just because of John, Hank was completely right about Meg blowing everyone away. She is truly amazing. I was already a Hank Smith fan, and he had my cheeks hurting from laughing so hard. After the conference Megan and I even waited in the long line to talk to John, Meg and Hank. We kept laughing at this because neither of us are into celebrities or sports stars, for the most part I have no desire to meet any celebrities and I don't know what I would even say to them. But for these three we were perfectly happy to wait an hour to say a quick hi. Hank Smith has twin boys, so we told him that we were twins and that I have triplets now. We joked about the things that we have in common as parents of multiples and we told all of them how great they were. It was such a fun experience and I am so glad that we got to go.
Next we had a nice lunch in Gardner Village, then wandered around and looked at all the pretty stuff we can't afford. We ended the trip with ice cream from the Barn, and listening to more Meg Johnson and Hank Smith in the car.
It was such a fun trip, I am sad it's over.
Would it be weird for me to start planning next year's Mother's day getaway right now???
