Splash Pad Fun!

We got to go to the splash pad with Megan and her kids the other day and everyone had lots of fun.

Sometimes it is more fun to sit with Dad than to actually play in the water.
Everyone wants to drink the water out of the spouts right?
Kenna sunbathing on a not so sunny day.

We also visited the library, ate at 5 guys, and played at the childrens museum, it was the kind of day kids dream of.

Happy Birthday Babes!!!!

Our life has been really hectic the last few weeks. In the 2 weeks between Kylee's birhthday and the babes birthday we moved from our little house with the apartment on the side to what is not our dream house yet, but has all the potetial to become our dream house. Moving is such a pain, and it is extra challenging with lots of little hands that would rather unpack boxes than help me pack them. A big thank you to Megan for helping us, we owe you big. We are glad to be all settled in, even if we are only half unpacked.
Now for the stars of this post, our sweet little babes who turned 2 earlier this month.
Daddy brought donuts home for a special birthday breakfast. The special breakfast was fun for the babes while it lasted, but there was one little boy who was very sad when daddy had to go back to work without him. Eventually the tears dried up, and we had a somewhat plesant day.
We celebrated after dinner with just our little family.
Korbin was so fast blowing out his candles that I didn't have a chance to get a picture, but Braxton and Emery couldn't quite figure out how to blow hard enough to get the candles out.
Eventually big sister came over to help save the day.

We moved the party outside to the deck to open presents.
Again big sister was more than happy to help.

Happy Birthday Babes, we are so happy that you are part of our family. You truly help us remember what is most important in life and help us to realize that though things are not perfect every day, we are truly blessed. It is so fun to see you interact with each other, and to see the differences in your personalities. We love you!

Happy Birthday Kynlee!!!

I can't believe that my beautiful, smart, happy Kynlee turned 4 last month!!! We are so lucky to have this sweet girl in our family, she truly is my ray of sunshine when life gets chaotic.

She started out the day with a special breakfast of bumpy pancakes with sprinkles.
A rather impressive birthday cake for my sweet girl that caused a few tears, but actually was not that hard to make once I got everything right.
We made all of Kynlee's dreams come true with a water fight brithday party in the backyard along with homemade ice cream and a hot dog roast.

Presents are so much easier to open with your teeth right?
Happy Birthday beautiful girl, we love you so much!!

Looks like everyone enjoyed the party!!

Dalton Reunion!

We had lots of fun at the Dalton Reunion this year. There was a live Hungry Hungry Hippos game, and even though our kids were a little small for the game, nothing was going to stop them from joining in.

First time camping in a tent!!! The babes did awesome. I wish I could have slept as well as they did, but for some reason it is really hard for me to sleep on an air matress in a tent. Kynlee was lucky enough to get to sleep in a tent with Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Morgan.
This lucky girl also got to open an early birthday present from Grandpa and Grandpa.
Apparently her excersion thru the mud was not as fun as she was hoping.
 It's exhausting playing all weekend!

Matheson Reunion

We got to go to Moab for the Matheson reunion this year. The reunion was up on the mountains, and it was very rainy and muddy, we still haven't gotten all of the mud cleaned out of our car a month later. Of course the kids loved it, and the new swing set that Grandma and Grandpa put up on their property was a big hit. Some other hightlights include: the marshmallow shooting war, decorationg cookies, a white elephant exchange, Dad's shooting course, and playing late night Rook games. We sure were happy that we were staying in the nice dry cabin for the nights, especially when we saw 2 bears wander right across Grandma and Grandpa Dalton's property. We have lots of bear stories in our family that we have heard thru the years, and I have seen tracks and other evidence of the bears up there, but this is the first time I have seen a real live bear up there. It was fun to see, but again, I was glad we were sleeping in the cabin rather than a tent.
